OLSH – is one scary place!
October 30, 2015
On the nights of Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25, OLSH turned into a scare house during the annual Haunted Hallway. While ghouls, monsters and creepy dolls made people scream throughout the halls, zombies were providing comic relief for the visitors in the auditorium by performing the musical comedy, Zombeo and Juliet. A twist on the classic Shakespearean tragedy, the musical told the tale of two teenage star-crossed lovers- a girl named Juliet and a zombie named Romeo. The main conflict of the tale is the fact that Juliet’s family, the Decapitates, are zombie hunters who hate Romeo’s monstrous family, the Montgomerys, in particular. With its fun songs and twist ending, Zombeo and Juliet was a hit with the audience.
“It was super funny.” says Junior Abby Redlich. “All of the actors did a fantastic job.” “I loved performing in this show,” says sophomore Ganina Gonzales. “I love how we do a spooky Halloween play every year to go with Haunted Hallway.” Visitors were both scared and amused at OLSH last weekend, something they can expect from Haunted Hallway and Fall Play every year.
