Show Description:

The vampire brothers Damon and Stefan Salvatore, eternal adolescents, having been leading “normal” lives, hiding their bloodthirsty condition, for centuries, moving on before their non-aging is noticed. They are back in the Virginia town where they became vampires. Stefan is noble, denying himself blood to avoid killing, and tries to control his evil brother Damon, who promised to Stefan an eternity of misery. Stefan falls in love with schoolgirl Elena, who has an uncanny resemblance to the Salvatore brothers old love, Katherine; and whose best friend Bonnie is a witch.

My Review:

The Vampire Diaries is definitely a show to give a chance. There is a crazy, spectacular fandom based on the show, and watching it, I understand why. This show is not another Twilight. Yes, it has vampires, witches, werewolves, and more, but it’s presented in such a way where it’s more real. The way the directors made this show, it is impossible not to like it. At first, the show may be hard to get into so watch the first two seasons if not hooked right off the bat. Another great component is the eye candy. Ian Somerhalder (who plays Damon) and Paul Wesley (who plays Stefan) are just wonderful. Not only are they very good looking, but they are phenomenal, versatile actors who can honestly do it all. The special effects are also out of this world. The series does an amazing job at portraying all the supernatural creatures that appear on the screen. Another amazing thing are all the ‘ships that you can make throughout the series, along with determining whose team you’re on. #TeamStefan or #TeamDamon?
