Goodreads description

“August (Auggie) Pullman was born with a facial deformity that prevented him from going to a mainstream school—until now. He’s about to start 5th grade at Beecher Prep, and if you’ve ever been the new kid then you know how hard that can be. The thing is Auggie’s just an ordinary kid, with an extraordinary face. But can he convince his new classmates that he’s just like them, despite appearances?”

My Review

A touching story about why to not judge a book by its cover. It’s a heartwarming tale that many of young people can relate to. Although we may not be deformed, we all struggle to be liked by others. This book shows that you don’t have to change yourself for that to happen. It shows the reality that this may not be as easy as it seems, but is a motto to live by. Loved this book and would highly recommend it! It’s 316 pages and is $10.49 on amazon.
