Football Victory at Carmichaels

OLSH prepares to take the field against Carmichaels.

After starting off with a harsh 0-2 record, the Chargers pulled off their first win over Carmichaels high school. Carmichaels had perfect 1-0 record and was well known for their overwhelming size on their offensive and defensive line. The Chargers led the way with a powerful rushing attack and fantastic run-blocking by their O-line. Starting running back Jackie Graff was definitely MVP of the game with over 120 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Another offensive weapon was Richard “Boom” Banks who both trucked and hurdled defenders throughout the game. The defense also played a very impressive game. The defensive line dominated the game by forcing a fierce pass rush and numerous sacks. The defense had an interception by “Sig” Saftner later in the third quarter that put the game away. The final score of the game was 34-13. The Chargers will be playing their next game, Friday, September 15 at at Moon Stadium.
